Citizens of Malaysia are exempt from the Schengen C tourist visa under a bilateral visa-free agreement or EU/EEA freedom of movement. You may enter Germany and the Schengen Area for stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period without any visa. For stays longer than 90 days — for Ausbildung, Studium, or family reunification — a national D-visa is required. The D-visa application is submitted at the German embassy or honorary consulate responsible for your residence in Malaysia.
