GoGermany's German course takes you from absolute beginner (A1) to advanced (C1) with interactive lessons that follow the same CEFR levels used by the Goethe, telc and ÖSD exams. Every lesson combines clear grammar explanations, practical vocabulary and instantly corrected exercises — including AI-corrected writing tasks, so you actually produce German instead of only reading it. The course was built for people preparing a real move to Germany: Ausbildung, university, work visa or Chancenkarte.
Start with the placement quiz to find your level, then progress at your own pace — two lessons per week is enough to advance steadily. Add the daily 5-minute verb drill to build a streak, and when you want a teacher, join our live online classes in small groups with a graded curriculum. Yes. All lessons from A1 to C1 are free, including the exercises and the AI writing correction. A free account only adds progress saving. The optional paid offer is the live classes with a teacher.
For an Ausbildung most employers expect B1–B2. German-taught university programs usually require C1 (TestDaF or DSH). For the Chancenkarte, A1 already earns points and A2 or higher earns more. In daily life you will want at least B1.
With 1–2 hours per day, most learners reach B1 in about 6–9 months. Our pacing of two lessons per week plus the daily verb drill is designed to get you there without burning out.
